Guns of Cinema is a product created out of my own desperation for the lack of high quality and a wide variety of gun sounds on the market. Guns of Cinema provides the most comprehensive and updated gun sounds available. A 10-disc set, the library showcases ten (10) categories including: MACHINE GUNS, PISTOLS, RIFLES & SHOTGUNS, GUN FOLEY, BULLET IMPACTS, and HISTORY OF GUNS. The most complete gun collection available on the market, Guns of Cinema was recorded in cooperation with the Macom County Sheriff Department of Detroit, Michigan, providing over 2100 gun sound effects ranging from vintage guns used by Italian-American mafia member Al Capone to modern assault rifles and pistols. The sounds were specifically designed and recorded with continuity and consistency to ensure high quality and versatility. Recording sessions were held in indoor shooting ranges and outdoor sites at varying distances, to capture each and every circumstance a particular gun is used. Outdoor sites were selected carefully and were far from civilization, allowing us to capture the sounds in their most natural form. In collaboration with sound designer/recordist Ric Viers, the studio team spent much time in the treatment of the sound recording to ensure minimum manipulation during the editing process.
